Meet the speakers
Thuy has nearly 20 years of experience in Accounting and Finance field in both Vietnam and U.S. She managed General Accounting and Financial functions as Director of Accounting at Pinnacle Group, one of the largest IT staffing firms in the United States.
In 2013, Thuy returned to Vietnam to expand her career and worked as Managing Director for Forbes Vietnam magazine. She was one of the first key members that set up Forbes magazine in Vietnam and responsible for Forbes Vietnam’s day-to-day business operations and strategies.
Experiencing the positive changes in Vietnam’s economy and with a strong Accounting and Finance knowledge of the two countries, Thuy has the vision to connect skillful Vietnamese talents to work with overseas companies. In 2015, Thuy founded Innovature Inc, a remote workforce solution for the North American and Australian markets. Under her leadership, Innovature has grown drastically and was awarded “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021” (the Award recognizing Companies with the ideal workplaces, an environment attracting and retaining many young talents from across Asia).
Besides the Vietnam headquarter, Innovature has established its footprint in Singapore and the Philippines to provide a wide range of Business Process Outsourcing(BPO) solutions from Finance and Accounting to Customer Support and Post-Production services.
Mr. Junkel has served Pinnacle Group for fourteen years, the past 11 of which as Senior Vice President of Finance & Analytics. During that time, he has played a leading role in building Pinnacle’s analytics practice and Pinnacle managed services implementation practice, including VMS platform implementation.
Additionally, Mr. Junkel has overseen the implementation of Pinnacle’s internal technology architecture, most recently the implementations of Workday HCM and Workday financials. He has also been responsible for Pinnacle’s international growth and expansion, including the establishment of Pinnacle’s legal entity structures as well as the implementation of Pinnacle’s foreign operations.
Simon Millard is an accounting professional with over 10 years of experience in the industry and public accounting. Simon is the Controller at Southern Veterinary Partners (“SVP”) overseeing the accounting operations for over 300 hospitals. Prior joining SVP Simon started his career at Ernst and Young in Sydney and subsequently transferred to the Birmingham, Alabama office where he was an Audit Manager.
Ms. Trang has over fifteen years of professional experience in providing online recruitment solutions. She has been leading the corporate sales team to numerous outstanding achievements for CareerBuilder using her extensive market knowledge. She is also accountable for the execution of the organization’s growth strategy, including recruitment, succession planning, and sales force development activities.
In addition, she is a motivational speaker at HCMC universities’ career orientation activities for the young generation.
Sebastien is a savvy and accomplished Business Director with a demonstrated history of working in the Financial, Digital and IT sectors in Europe and Asia for more than 15 years. He is known for organizational and leadership abilities, and experiences in Back and Front office management, leading to a thorough knowledge of the administrative and operational functions of a Business.
Maintaining focus on high-quality standards and bottom-line profit improvement, Sebastien has a proven track record in Business Development, Account and Operation Management with strong P&L responsibilities.
Ella has 15 years of experience of marketing, communication, and business strategy. She established an outsourcing business Innovature Consulting as a Co-Founder including Vietnam and Philippines offices. Ella also led the brand of Vietnam offshore solutions to expose to the US market via business conferences in US and Singapore.
Previous to the outsourcing experience, Ella had served in the media and advertising industry as Head of Marketing for Forbes Vietnam to develop the global footprint in the domestic market, worked with media agencies and press partners to deliver the concept of Forbes conference, Forbes print ads, and digital ads to Vietnam business community.
