On October 22, 2024, Innovature BPO had the pleasure of joining students at the University of Economics and Finance (UEF) for a Career Orientation Sharing Session. This wasn’t just a one-off appearance. It was part of our ongoing effort to help students gain a clearer picture of what lies ahead after graduation and how they can get there with confidence.
The session was led by Ms. Aster Nguyen, Senior Finance and Accounting Officer at Innovature. With a calm, friendly presence and years of practical experience, Aster brought exactly what students needed: a down-to-earth guide to entering the job market and growing a career from the ground up.
Real Talk About Real Jobs
During the session, Aster shared what it’s like to work in the finance and accounting field in a professional, fast-paced environment. She spoke about her own journey, from early internships to current responsibilities, giving students a look into how roles evolve over time and what challenges and rewards they can expect.
Rather than speaking in generalities, she used real examples from her day-to-day work. This helped students connect theory to practice and understand how the skills they’re learning in class show up in real work scenarios like meeting client deadlines, collaborating with teams across departments, or adapting to new systems and tools.
She also highlighted the soft skills that make a difference: time management, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new things every day. These insights helped students think beyond grades and certifications and focus on becoming well-rounded professionals.
Encouraging Honest Questions
The session quickly became interactive. Students weren’t shy about asking what was on their minds, and we appreciated that. They asked about the transition from school to work, how to handle job interviews, what makes a strong resume, and how to deal with uncertainty after graduation.
Aster answered with honesty, warmth, and encouragement. She reminded them that it’s okay not to have everything figured out and that career paths don’t need to be linear. What matters more is staying curious, open to feedback, and willing to put in the effort to grow.
It was clear that students appreciated the honesty. In a time when many feel pressured to “have it all together,” hearing a professional talk openly about learning curves and challenges was both refreshing and reassuring.
A Session That Left a Mark

While we didn’t have job openings to present or a long list of roles to fill, the session still delivered value. It was about showing up and being present for students to share, to listen, and to support.
Many students stayed behind afterward to continue the conversation. Some asked about internship opportunities. Others just wanted to express how helpful the session had been. Faculty members also shared positive feedback, saying that practical insights like these are exactly what students need as they begin to think seriously about their next steps.
It reminded us once again that employer branding isn’t always about recruitment. Sometimes, it’s simply about connection.
Why Innovature Invests in Career Guidance
At Innovature, we believe that preparing students for the workforce is a shared responsibility, one that companies like ours should take seriously. That’s why we continue to partner with universities and organize career-focused activities. It’s not just good branding. It’s the right thing to do.
Our goal is to help students:
- See what a professional environment actually looks like
- Understand how their current skills translate into future roles
- Build the confidence to take their first step, even if they feel unsure
And we don’t stop at sharing. We listen too. These sessions help us stay in tune with what students are thinking and feeling. That helps us become a better workplace which is aligned with the needs and expectations of new talent entering the workforce.
Part of a Bigger Mission

As a leading outsourcing company based in Vietnam, Innovature is deeply committed to building career pathways for local youth. But we also have our sights set wider across Asia. We know that the challenges facing young professionals are not unique to one city or one country. That’s why we aim to be a bridge between education and employment, helping students from across the region prepare for the future.
This career orientation session at UEF was a small step in that direction, but one that reflects a much bigger goal. We want to be known not only as a great place to work, but also as a company that genuinely cares about people’s growth.
The Kind of Impact That Lasts
While we may not always be able to measure the impact of a single session in numbers, we see it in other ways: the faces of students who light up when they feel understood, in the follow-up emails we receive from those wanting to learn more, and in the sense of mutual respect that grows between our team and the university community.
These moments tell us we’re doing something meaningful. They inspire us to keep going.
Looking Forward, Together
We left the session at UEF with a renewed sense of purpose. There’s something special about being in a room full of young people who are ready to learn, ready to ask questions, and ready to try. It reminds us why we started doing these events in the first place.
As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we’ll keep showing up for students. Because career journeys aren’t built overnight. They’re built through moments like this: honest conversations, shared experiences, and guidance from those who’ve been there before.
And we’re proud to be part of those moments.
