Innovature Returns To UEF: Learning From Experience

On March 27, 2025, Innovature BPO returned to the University of Economics and Finance (UEF) for another round of guest lectures. These sessions were part of our ongoing commitment to support students as they prepare to enter the workforce. But this time, we brought more than just recruitment tips, we brought real stories, expert perspectives, and practical lessons from the field.

The atmosphere was welcoming and full of curiosity. Dozens of students attended, eager to learn what life after graduation might actually look like.

Real Voices, Real Experiences

Taking the stage was Ms. Lucia Le from our Talent Acquisition and Management team. She is a familiar face to many in the HR community, known for her down-to-earth speaking style and genuine passion for youth development. Rather than presenting a typical corporate pitch, Lucia chose to share her personal journey: how she navigated the transition from university to career, the stumbles she made early on, and how those very challenges became building blocks for growth.

Her stories brought smiles, thoughtful nods, and even a few laughs from the audience. But more importantly, they made something abstract,  “career success”,  feel real and reachable.

Lucia’s talk focused on three key themes:

• Adapting to change: Especially in industries like BPO, flexibility and learning agility are key to long-term success.
• Finding your strengths: Instead of chasing perfect CVs, students were encouraged to reflect on what makes them curious, motivated, and resilient.
• Preparing for reality: She painted a picture of what the first job might look like: the excitement, the pressure, the unknowns, and how to navigate all of it with confidence.

These aren’t topics most students get from their curriculum and that’s exactly why we wanted to be there.

Beyond Recruitment: A Long-Term Commitment to Youth Empowerment

At Innovature, our participation in events like this isn’t just about building a hiring pipeline. It’s about planting seeds that help young people grow not only as professionals, but as confident, self-aware individuals.

We see it as part of our responsibility as a business rooted in Vietnam, and as a company that works with clients and teams across Asia. The youth of today are the workforce of tomorrow, and we want to be a part of that journey not just at the point of hiring, but well before it.

Guest lectures, mentorship programs, and career talks help us show students the full picture: the highs and lows of working life, the human stories behind the resumes, and the support systems that help them thrive. It’s also a chance for us to listen, learn what young people are worried about, and understand how we can design better workplaces for their future.

Creating Value on Both Sides

The session wasn’t only beneficial for the students, but we also gained a lot from it. Listening to their questions reminded us of how important it is to simplify our expectations, to keep communication open, and to continue building a culture that supports new entrants into the workforce.

These conversations help shape how we design internships, onboarding processes, and even internal mentorship programs. When students tell us what excites or intimidates them, it allows us to respond thoughtfully and intentionally, which creates value on both sides.

We believe employer branding should never feel one-sided. It’s not about showing off; it’s about showing up. And we’re proud to keep showing up in classrooms like UEF’s, where curiosity, ambition, and growth are alive and well.

Looking Ahead: A Stronger, More Connected Workforce

The event ended with handshakes, follow-up messages, and even a few photos, but what truly lasted was the connection. Many students said the session gave them a renewed sense of direction. Some asked about future internship opportunities, while others simply wanted to keep in touch.

And that’s exactly the kind of ripple effect we hope for.

As Innovature continues to grow and expand its talent outreach across Asia, these small, meaningful interactions are what keep us grounded. They remind us that behind every application is a person with hopes, questions, and potential.

By showing up authentically, we don’t just attract talent, we help shape it.
